Dr Samizi in Mbeya to inspect development projects, healthcare service delivery    

MBEYA: THE Deputy Minister of Health, Dr Florence Samizi, has arrived in Mbeya Region for a working visit aimed at inspecting development projects in the health sector and observing the delivery of services to citizens.

The visit also seeks to provide direct guidance and ensure that health projects are progressing efficiently.

Dr Samizi emphasized the implementation of the Universal Health Insurance to ensure that every Tanzanian citizen can access quality health services without financial barriers.

She also highlighted the importance of a system for collecting feedback from patients after receiving services, a measure intended to enhance accountability, identify areas for improvement, and ensure that services meet the expected quality standards.

The visit provides the Deputy Minister an opportunity to see firsthand the challenges faced by health workers and citizens, while also strengthening the management of health projects.

 Additionally, it aims to improve service delivery efficiency and ensure that resources are utilized in an effective and productive manner.

Dr Samizi arrived in the region today, March 4, 2026, and was received by the Regional Commissioner of Mbeya, Beno Malisa.
