Dr Samia pledges a promptly implementation of  Chande Commission’s  recommendations

DAR ES SALAAM: PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan has pledged immediate implementation of recommendations from the presidential commission investigating post-election violence, saying the findings will guide urgent reforms to prevent a repeat of the unrest.

Receiving the commission’s report, the Head of State said as the country’s leader the events surrounding the October 29, 2025 General Election have been a heavy burden on her leadership.

“I personally did not expect such an incident to happen in our country during my tenure as Head of State. This has placed a heavy burden on my shoulders,” she said.

However, President Samia assured the nation that the government will act on all recommendations without delay, describing them as “medicine needed to heal the nation.”

“The recommendations you have made are a remedy for healing our country. Any medicine, no matter how bitter, must be taken for healing to take place,” she said.
