Dr Nchimbi names water as top priority in CCM’s Election Manifesto

MWANZA: THE Tanzanian presidential running from ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM), Dr. Emmanuel Nchimbi, has reminded the people of Magu District, Kisesa Ward in Mwanza region that availability of clean water for all is one of the key priorities of the presidential candidate, Samia Suluhu Hassan, if allowed to lead Tanzania for another five years.

Dr Nchimbi stated that in the first 100 days of Samia’s leadership, the issue of water will be one of the key priorities. He emphasized that, alongside other priorities in sectors such as health, energy, finance, education, and water, the Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM), through its Election Manifesto, has directed the government to implement the National Water Grid project, which will help address the country’s water access challenges.

Dr Nchimbi made these remarks today, August 30, 2025, while continuing the CCM’s campaign to promote its policies in Mwanza, during an interaction with residents of Magu District, Kisesa, and Nyanguge Wards.

Additionally, Dr Nchimbi noted that despite the significant efforts made by Samia over the past four years to alleviate women’s burden of carrying water on their heads, CCM, through its candidate, Samia, will continue to work towards solving the water challenges by initiating the national water grid project.
