Dr Nchimbi leads Tanzanians at the funeral of JPM’s mother, Suzana Magufuli
CHATO: VICE-President Emmanuel Nchimbi has arrived in Chato, Geita region where he is expected to lead mourners across the country at the funeral of the late Suzana Magufuli, the mother of former President, John Pombe Magufuli, today, May 29, 2026.
Upon his arrival at the Geita Airport in Chato, he was received by Geita Regional Commissioner, Martine Shigela, members of the Regional Security and Defence Committee, CCM leaders and other senior government officials.
The Vice-President later visited the late Suzana Magufuli’s residence in Kilimani, Chato, where he signed the condolence book and conveyed President Samia’s condolences to the bereaved family.
The late Suzana Magufuli died at her home in Chato following prolonged illness.
Her death was confirmed by the Late President Maguful’s daughter, Jesca Magufuli.
