Dr Mwinyi hails Zanzibar Investment Forum for promoting new investments, Isles’ economic growth

ZAZIBAR: THE President of Zanzibar, Dr Hussein Ali Mwinyi, said the Zanzibar Investment Forum 2026 has successfully opened new investment opportunities, strengthened international cooperation and stimulated Zanzibar’s economic growth.

Speaking at the Presidential Gala Dinner held at the Diamond Bijoux Hotel, Bwejuu, Dr Mwinyi assured investors that the government will continue to improve the investment environment through transparency, accountability and sectoral reforms.

In addition, he commended the Zanzibar Investment Authority (ZIPA) for making the forum a success, which brought together more than 600 participants from various countries around the world, and promoted Zanzibar as a highly competitive investment hub.

At the event, President Dr Mwinyi was awarded the Special Leadership Award for the Development of the Zanzibar Investment Sector by ZIPA, in recognition of his contribution to strengthening the investment environment in the country.

Dr Mwinyi has met with Tanzanians living abroad (Diaspora) and encouraged them to invest in Zanzibar as well as contribute their knowledge and skills to the development of the nation.
