Dr Mwinyi donates 10m/- for construction of TRAMPA centre

DODOMA: PRESIDENT of Zanzibar and Chairman of the Revolutionary Council, Dr Hussein Mwinyi, has contributed  10m/- towards the construction of a Knowledge Centre for the Tanzania Records and Archives Management Professionals Association (TRAMPA), which will be used to build the capacity of members of the association.

The contribution was presented on September 23, 2026, in Dodoma, during the 14th TRAMPA Conference, by Haroun Ali Suleiman, Minister of State in the President’s Office responsible for Constitutional Affairs, Law, Public Service and Good Governance of the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar, on behalf of President Mwinyi.

In support of the construction project, Minister of State in the President’s Office responsible for Public Service Management and Good Governance, Ridhiwani Kikwete, also contributed TZS 10 million.

Kikwete said preparations for the construction of the TRAMPA Knowledge Centre had been completed following the issuance of a construction permit and the selection of a contractor.

“The construction permit for the TRAMPA Knowledge Centre has already been handed over, and a contractor has been selected. All construction procedures should now begin immediately. Tomorrow morning, I will personally visit and inspect the site,” Kikwete said.
