Dr. Mpango, Tanzanian envoy at Pope Francis’ burial

DAR ES SALAAM: TANZANIA’S Vice President, Dr. Philip Mpango, has departed for Vatican City to represent President Samia Suluhu Hassan at the funeral of the global leader of the Roman Catholic Church, His Holiness Pope Francis.

The funeral service for Pope Francis is scheduled to take place tomorrow, April 26, 2025, in front of St. Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City. The service will be followed by a burial at the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore.
