Dr Gwajima flies to Istanbul for Int. Women Summit

Minister for Social Development, Gender, Women and Special Groups, Dr Dorothy Gwajima is in Istanbul, Turkey for a two-day visit to represent President Samia Suluhu Hassan at the 5th International Women and Justice Summit.
The Summit will be held at Atatürk Cultural Center in Turkey from Nov. 4 to Nov. 5, 2022 and will be opened by the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
The International Women and Justice Summit has been organized by the Women and Democracy Association (KADEM) together with the TR Ministry of Family and Social Services where this year’s theme is “Cultural Codes and Women”.
The purpose of the International Women and Justice Summit is to develop not only national and regional but also global approaches to issues that concern women, families and society, to identify the problems experienced as well as to develop solutions.
The International Women and Justice Summit has been held every two years since 2014, in the week of 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.
