Dr Biteko graces Tanzania’s Teacher Union meeting with solidarity song

DODOMA: The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy, Dr. Doto Biteko, led the singing of a solidarity song during the official opening of the General Meeting of the Tanzania Teachers’ Union (CWT) held today, June 8, 2025, at the JNICC Hall in Dodoma city.

The event was characterized by feelings of unity and a strong spirit to enhance the rights and welfare of teachers in the country.

Accompanied by various national and labor sector leaders, Dr. Biteko participated in the event alongside the Acting Secretary-General of CWT, Joseph Misalaba; Deputy Secretary-General of Trade Union Congress of Tanzania(TUCTA), Rehema Ludanga; Registrar of Trade Unions and Employers, Vallensi Wambali; Dodoma District Commissioner, Jabir Shekimweri; as well as the Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office responsible for Labour, Youth, Employment, and Persons with Disabilities Ridhiwani Kikwete.

The meeting is expected to discuss important issues regarding teachers’ interests and the future of education in the country.
