“The best way to ensure peaceful elections is to comply with INEC regulations, start – ing with voter registration and updating information in the permanent voter register.

Having a voter’s card is the first step to exercising your democratic right,” Mr Shekimweri said.

He also urged political leaders to educate the public on the importance of maintaining peace and participating in the electoral process.

“Every political leader has a responsibility to educate citizens on preserving peace and turning up to vote. If everyone follows the right procedures, there will be no disruptions. I strongly encourage all leaders to abide by commission’s guidelines,” he emphasised.

Hazina Ward Executive Officer, Ms Tunu Mahmoud, commended the constituency demarcation exercise, saying it would create new opportunities and improve service delivery. “This demarcation between Mtumba and Dodoma Urban constituencies is a positive step.

It will bring services closer to the people, enhance economic and social opportunities and create clear administrative boundaries for public servants. This will foster further growth and development in Dodoma,” she said.
