Korogwe District Commissioner, Ms Jokate Mwegelo, is among 23 figures selected to join WYDE Youth Network of Young Decision-Makers.
WYDE Civic Engagement Network of Young Decision-Makers brings together a group of exceptional young leaders under 36 years old who are active in politics and in decision-making bodies and who have already reached positions of influence from which they can advocate for greater youth political participation.
Through her verified Instagram page @Jokate Mwegelo, DC Jokate writes: “I am honored to be selected as a member of Club de Madrid’s Network of Young Decision-Makers.
“This global network provides a space for young leaders like me to connect, learn, and drive positive change”.
According to the Club de Madrid website, Ms Mwegelo and 23 other participants were selected because of their exceptional leadership skills and a commitment in creating positive change in the communities.
The young decision-makers selected to join the team are from Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean.

“After carefully curating a diverse and talented cohort of young leaders who have demonstrated exceptional leadership skills and a commitment to creating positive change in their communities, we are thrilled to announce the official launching of the Network of Young Decision-Makers,” the website reads.
On June 15, this year, the first meeting was held, marking the beginning of an incredible journey.
Ms Mwegelo is Tanzanian pioneer Innovative Partnership Development Leadership to address challenges in Education, Health, Food Security and Tourism.
