Dar trio signing rocks transfer window

THE transfer window fever mounts with teams bragging about their newly signed players as they hope them to add value to their squads in both domestic and CAF inter-club games.

Every team seeks strategic acquisitions to bolster its squad so as to remain an edge above over its opponents. With the transfer window, couples can add players who will make an immediate impact and help the team to  succeed.

Top on order are Simba, Young Africans and Azam, who seem to lead the transfer headlines by announcing their newly-signed players.

On Wednesday, Simba made their first breakthrough when they announced the signing of Essomba Onana from Rayon Sports of Rwanda.

The Cameroonian striker had a good season in the Rwandan Premier League last season. He emerged the top goal scorer after netting 16 goals. Onana’s addition to the Simba squad is expected to increase their firepower and help them compete for the top spot in the league. The 23-year-old striker is eager to hit the ground running and make an immediate impact.

However, their traditional rivals; Yanga have announced the signing of fullback Nickson Kibabage from Singida Fountain Gate. He was introduced early Wednesday via the club’s social media accounts.

Kibabage is a defender who has been with Singida for a year. He is expected to add depth to Young Africans’ back line and boost their chances of defending the league title.

Azam , on their side, have introduced three foreign-based players, Cheikh Sidibe (Senegal), Alassane Diao (Senegal) and Gibril Sillah (Gambia); the trio have pledged to do their utmost at the club.

Azam have high hopes for the trio and believe they can help the team reach their goals. The players have expressed enthusiasm for the team and look forward to the challenge. The club hopes their new signings will improve the team and excel in all competitions.
