Dar firm unveils plan to improve hospitality sector in TZ

A DAR ES SALAAM-based catering and hospitality firm, FOODEX on Tuesday unveiled its new national plan to improve services delivery in the country’s hospitality industry.

“We want to transform catering and hospitality industry services in this country and provide high quality and standard services to domestic and international customers,” said FOODEX Chief Executive Officer, Mr Safa Erzurumlugil, during a press briefing on the company’s new strategy in Dar es Salaam.

The company’s plan intends to complement the sixth-phase government initiatives to improve catering and the hospitality industry, which is key to ongoing national economic and business growth and development strategies.

“We are determined and committed to supporting government’s strategies aimed at transforming the hospitality industry; the move will attract investors and tourists from different parts of the world to come to Tanzania,” he said.

He noted that as the government took long-term strategic steps to boost business and investment environment, the provision of high quality and up to standard catering and hospitality services is inevitable.

“Business and investment growth will definitely need high quality food, catering and other related services. That is why FOODEX has come up with a new strategic plan that will ensure Tanzanians and foreigners doing business in the country are provided with standard food and catering services,” he said.

Expounding on food and catering service delivery, the company top official said his company would provide catering services that embrace all types of events and occasions, delivering outstanding culinary experience to its esteemed clients and guests.
