Dar Business Community commends TRA’s handling of taxation issues

DAR ES SALAAM: THE Dar es Salaam Business Community has commended the performance of the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA)   and strong engagement with traders, saying its close collaboration with taxpayers makes both the authority and taxpayers benefit from good business environment.

This statement was issued today, February 6, 2026, by the Chairperson of the Dar es Salaam Regional Business Community, Mr. Yusuph Yenga, who chaired the meeting organized by the Dar es Salaam Regional Business Community.

The meeting, according to its Chairperson, Mr Yenga, was aimed at strengthening leadership and enhancing the effectiveness of the association.

During the meeting, members discussed various issues, with particular emphasis on organizing leadership elections for designated commercial areas and all districts within Dar es Salaam Region.

Mr Yenga stressed the importance of bringing the association closer to the public and strengthening cooperation with the government and its institutions to grow the organization and address the challenges facing businesspeople.

He also praised the Commissioner of Taxes, Mr. Yusuph Mwenda, for his commendable performance and strong engagement with traders, noting his proactive approach in listening to and resolving their concerns promptly, which has contributed to improving the business environment.
