CRDB Bank has thrown its weight behind tourism promotion by sponsoring and participating in ‘My Tanzania Roadshows’ staged in Western Europe.
The exhibitions paraded Amsterdam in Netherlands, Paris in France, Cologne in Germany and Brussels in Belgium, are tailor-made and organised by Kilimanjaro’s based KILIFAIR are strictly promoting Tanzania and Zanzibar destinations.
The CRDB, Senior Manager, Acquiring Business, Mr Victor Makere, said they used the exhibition to entice existing diaspora clients, companies and individuals, and new ones to seize the opportunity and invest in the tourism sector in the country.
“Through these road shows, we have been able to meet our customers in the tourism sector and unveil suitable payment methods when their customers toured the country,” Mr Makere said in a statement yesterday.
The exhibition connected to a maximum of 30 exhibitors ranging from hotels, lodges, airlines, and tour operators to 25-40 selected buyers—Africa specialists—tour operators and travel agents at each event city.
These exhibitions, according to KILIFAIR, provided opportunities for tourism companies, authorities and other stakeholders in the country to open the doors to the exchange of experiences, to learn new cultures, to show tourist products and promote the attractions available in the country.
Through their participation in these exhibitions, CRDB supports the efforts of the government to promote tourism in the country by moving closer banking services to investors in tourism.
The seven-day road shows ended last Saturday after spending two days each in Cologne, Amsterdam and Paris and a single day in Brussels.
