CRDB launches 2026 campaign with 1.94 record profit

DAR ES SALAAM: CRDB Bank has officially launched its 2026 campaign dubbed “Benki Kimpango Wako”, following a highly successful 2025 financial year in which the bank recorded a profit of over 1.04tri/-.

The new campaign is designed to enhance customer experience by reducing transaction turnaround time orm enabling customers to conveniently access self-service banking solutions anytime and from anywhere in the world.

Speaking during the launch, CRDB Bank Group Managing Director and CEO, Abdulmajid Nsekela, expressed gratitude to customers, investors, strategic partners, and all stakeholders for their continued trust in the bank.

He noted that the strong performance recorded in 2025 was driven by effective collaboration with individual customers, entrepreneurs, institutions, and the government.

“Last year, we achieved remarkable profitability, and we remain committed to improving the lives of Tanzanians and strengthening the national economy. This campaign is part of our ongoing efforts to deliver reliable, high-quality services to all our customers,” said Nsekela.

In 2025, CRDB Bank posted a profit before tax of Sh1.04 trillion, a 33 percent increase, while profit after tax reached Sh725 billion, up 31 percent from 2024.

The bank also registered significant growth in its balance sheet, which rose to Sh22.2 trillion, while customer loans expanded to Sh13.7 trillion. According to Nsekela, this growth enhances the bank’s capacity to finance development projects, support business expansion, and create new employment opportunities.

The ‘Benki Kimpango Wako’ campaign builds on key strategic investments, including the upgraded core banking system launched last year and the opening of a representative office in Dubai earlier this year. CRDB continues to deliver services through its branch network, CRDB Wakala agents, SimBanking, and online banking platforms.

“We invite customers from Tanzania, Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Dubai to take advantage of our banking services that can be accessed globally,” Nsekela emphasized.

CRDB Bank is recognized as one of the leading and most stable banks in East Africa, serving over four million customers through 260 branches and more than 25,000 alternative service outlets. The 2026 campaign reinforces the bank’s mission to provide fast, convenient, and customer-centered financial solutions aligned with the economic goals of its clients.
