Inspector General of Police (IGP) Camillus Wambura has administered oath to the newly appointed Commissioner for Administration and Human Resources Commissioner for Administration and Human Resources, CP Suzan Kaganda in Dodoma.
Prior to her new role, President Samia promoted Suzan Kaganda as Commissioner of Police (CP) on October 24, 2022.
Speaking during the swearing-in ceremony held in the capital city, IGP Wambura issued six directives to the newly appointed commissioner.
He instructed the Commissioner to ensure both Police Force and staff’s interests are well protected, professionalism as well as implementing career development plans in the Force in order to boost productivity.
He further directed her to discharge her duties without favoring anyone, manage discipline, strengthen relationship between the Police Force and other institutions as helping the instrument’s administrative activities to migrate from analogue to digital.

Apart from her previous posts in the Force, from 2020 to 2022 she got an opportunity to serve as the Head of Operations in the United Nation Police-United Nation Interim Security Force by Abyei (UNPOL UNISFA).
Her appointment makes her the second woman to hold the position of Commissioner in the Police Force since independence being preceded by the retired commissioner, Elice Mapunda who was the Commissioner of scientific investigation commission from 2015 to 2017.
