MUSOMA: THE High Court in Musoma, Mara Region has sentenced three people to death by hanging after they were found guilty of killing Marigore Marwa.
The accused are Zacharia Werema Matoso (51), Daniel Bhoke Ngoko (46), and Emmanuel Mniko Mwita (44), all residents of Nkongore Village in the Tarime District, Mara Region.
A statement released by the Police in Musoma,through the government prosecutor, Lusako Mwaisaka, informed the court that the accused committed the murder on June 13, 2021. It is alleged that they attacked Marigore Marwa (25), a resident of Nkongore Village, and caused his death, accusing him of theft.

The ruling was delivered on February 24, 2025, by Judge M. L. Komba, who confirmed that the accused were found guilty of all three allegations.
Judge Komba stated that the death sentence was given as a deterrent to society and to all those who take the law into their own hands, as such actions are dangerous to the welfare of the community.
This ruling sends a strong message to society that acts of cruelty, especially those involving murder, will be taken seriously and will result in severe punishment for those involved, to prevent such incidents from occurring again.
