Coastal Union seek to outsmart JKT Tanzania

TANGA: COASTAL Union Assistant Coach Luhaga Makunja has said the team has completed preparations for its match against JKT Tanzania, with all players in good condition and ready to fight for a positive result.

The teams are expected to meet today in the mainland league and game to be played at the CCM Mkwakwani stadium in Tanga.

Coastal Union currently sit 12th in the standings with four points from five matches, having recorded one win, one draw and three defeats.

While JKT Tanzania currently sit 10th with seven points from five matches. Speaking yesterday during the team’s training at the Mzingani primary school grounds, Makunja said the team has made adequate preparations and that the technical bench has ensured that the players are well prepared to face the challenges they will encounter on the field.

Makunja said preparations have gone well, explaining that the players’ condition is good and no major challenges have arisen during the preparation period for the game. “Our preparations are going well.

All players are in good condition and are ready for the game. We are prepared to do well,” Makunja said.

The coach said that in addition to technical preparations, the team has continued to prepare the players psychologically to ensure that they enter the field with calm, confidence and the will to fight for all minutes of the game.

Makunja said his team does not want to enter the field under pressure, but wants to use the preparations that have been made as a basis for seeking good results against JKT Tanzania.

He said the players understand the importance of the game and are ready to fight to ensure the team gets results that will please their fans. Coastal Union player, Saad Mwanza said their preparations are complete and they are ready for the game.

He called on Coastal Union fans to turn out in large numbers for the game to support their team. He said the presence of fans at the field is an important part of giving the team morale and strength to fight, especially in times when the game is very competitive.
