Coastal Union edge Tanzania Prisons

With the win, Coastal Union moved up to 9th place on the standings with 16 points from 13 matches

ARUSHA: Coastal Union secured a thrilling 2-1 victory over Tanzania Prisons at Sheikh Amri Abeid Stadium in Arusha yesterday.

The home side took the lead in the 42nd minute when Hernest Malonga converted a penalty, awarded after Vedastus Mwihambi fouled Greyson Gwalala.

Tanzania Prisons equalised in the 56th minute through Meshack Mwamita but Coastal Union snatched the win in the 90th minute with a goal from Maulid Juma.

With the win, Coastal Union moved up to 9th place on the standings with 16 points from 13 matches. Their recent form has been solid, with two wins, two draws, and one loss in their last five matches.

On the other hand, Tanzania Prisons, who are in 13th place with 10 points from 12 games, have struggled lately, losing four of their last five matches and securing just one win.
