COAST REGION: COAST Regional Commissioner, Mr Aboubakar Kunenge has stated that the regional government has successfully created a conducive environment for the local government elections, which took place on Wednesday across the country.
Speaking after casting his vote at the Mkoani ‘A’ polling station in Tumbi Ward, Kibaha Town Council, Mr Kunenge said, “The government has worked diligently to ensure that this election is being conducted smoothly, allowing all eligible residents to participate effectively.”
Mr Eliuta Kigodi, an 84-year-old elder who was accompanied by his wife, Mary Kigodi, expressed his satisfaction with the organisation of the entire election process.

Regional Administrative Secretary (RAS), Mr Rashid Mchatta, after casting his vote at Mkoani ‘A’ polling station, also shared his optimism: “We are expecting a large turnout because of the numerous conferences, meetings and awareness campaigns we conducted to motivate residents.”
