Clergymen hold special prayers for President Samia

A GROUP of religious leaders based outside the country have organized special prayers for President Samia Suluhu Hassan.

The Chairperson of the Council of Pentecostal Churches of Tanzania (CPCT) Bishop Cleopa Kweka disclosed here recently about the clergymen’s intention of holding special prayer session for the Head of State.

“The Men of the Cloth want have been satisfied with the pace the direction the country is moving with and towards to, it is for this reason they want to pray for President Samia so that God gives her wisdom and grace as she continues to steer the country,” Bishop Kweka revealed.

Also featuring on the prayer session, according to Bishop Kweka will be a special divine intervention from the Evangelists for rains, as some parts of the country continue witnessing severe drought.

Speaking on behalf of overseas Evangelists, Daniel Smenes of Jesus to all Nations Church from Norway, urged Tanzanians from all walks life and spiritual backgrounds to join in the prayers to ask God to continue granting Tanzania peace and stability.

“Tanzania is globally known for its peace and security, nonetheless, we still need God’s help in ensuring the virtue continues to prevail,” he said.

The clergyman said they have been delighted by President Samia’s leadership style since her assumption to the country’s top most office.

According to Smenes, President Samia’s leadership style continues to reverberate across the world, with many leaders awed with her zeal of restoring Tanzania’s diplomatic status through frequent foreign visits that she has embarked on.

“It is my fifth time to be in Tanzania, but I have seen a lot of changes since then all the credit must go to President Samia,” he said.
