Chana appreciates President Samia’s support in sports

Minister for Culture, Arts and Sports Pindi Chana has appreciated President Samia Suluhu Hassan’s stance in ensuring that Tanzania stamps success in this sector.

She made the statement at the Parliament in Dodoma on Tuesday while tabling her Ministry’s 35.5bn/- spending plan for the 2023/24 financial year.

She says President Samia has been on the forefront in driving forward the success recorded in the sectors of arts, culture and sports.

“Just recently, she conceded that Taifa Stars coach Adel Amrouche should be paid by the Government and she even bought 2,000 tickets for fans to watch the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying game between Taifa Stars versus Uganda.

“Also, the President was on the forefront in providing a motivation package to Simba and Young Africans which represented us in CAF Interclub Games through purchasing each goal that was being scored,” Chana says.

She then assures President Samia of their unwavering commitment to work hard in implementing various development agendas to go along with the President’s pace.
