Chalamila assures private sector of government support

DAR ES SALAAM: DAR ES SALAAM Regional Commissioner, Albert Chalamila has guaranteed the private sector in the region that the government will always be supportive.

“Let me assure you that the government under President Samia Suluhu Hassan has a real intent to develop the country and it is ready to accord any needed cooperation,” Mr Chalamila stated.

He said the government has been closely working with the private sector which effectively engages in building the nation by creating employment for Tanzanians,” he stated.

The RC made the statement recently in Dar es Salaam when he officiated the 25th anniversary of the Derm Group where the company showcased its major achievements through its investments.

He hailed the company for the achievements and pledged the government’s support to ensure that their investments bear more fruits.

“25 years isn’t a joke, I congratulate the management and staff of Derm Group for the successes,” he said.

On his part, Derm Group Chairman, Rizwan Mringo, attributed the achievements to the group’s concrete plans and strategies along with high spirit of its staff in implementing their duties.

Mr Mringo admitted that for the past 25 years since the company was established, it has been receiving support from the government, something which contributed to its growth.

“Let me congratulate the government for how it contributes to the growth of our company during a short period of leadership,” he said.

He added: “actually we have made a big step due to the way the government has put friendly environment for us to conduct our activities in the country without huddles.”

The Derm Group initially was known as Derm Electrics (T) owned by a Tanzanian.

The company deals with innovations and manufacturing of electric wires and transformers.

For the past 25 years, the company has been participating in implementation of various major engineering and construction projects, hence earning a status as one of the major contractors of electricity projects in the country.
