Young Africans have been presented with their 29th Premier League title at Sokoine Stadium in Mbeya on Friday afternoon.
They have defeated Tanzania Prisons 2-0 to conclude the 2022/23 action packed season in style.
With the outcome, the Jangwani street giants have claimed 78 points in 30 matches, five points clear against second placed Simba with 73 points.
On third place are Azam with 59 points while Singida Big Stars are on fourth slot with 55 points and Namungo accommodate fifth place courtesy of 40 points.
On Saturday, the newly crowned champions are set to conduct an open-bus title parade to celebrate their successive premier league success.
According to information unleashed by Yanga, they expect to begin the parade from Julius Nyerere International Airport (JNIA) in Dar es Salaam passing through Veta, Kamata, Msimbazi all the way to the club’s headquarters at Jangwani street.
Last season, they also celebrated the championship using an open-top bus and are so far the first club in the country to embrace the style.
