GEITA: THE ruling party CCM in Geita District has issued a stern warning to government officers against leaking official documents for personal or political gain, citing severe consequences for such actions.
The party argues that these leaks undermine leadership and foster conflicts within the management structure.
CCM Geita District Chairman Mr Barnabas Mapande delivered this warning during a recent review meeting at the Geita District Council Chamber, which assessed the performance for the first quarter of the 2024/25 financial year.
Mr Mapande expressed concerns about incidents where sensitive information has been disclosed, stressing that such breaches mislead the public and could lead to significant social, economic and political disruptions.
“Leaking sensitive documents and spreading false information not only creates confusion but also hampers government projects.
Those responsible must be held accountable,” Mr Mapande asserted.
