RULING party CCM’s Central Committee (CC) has nominated candidates, who will vie for seats within the party and its various wings at regional and national levels.
CCM Ideology and Publicity Secretary, Mr Shaka Hamdu Shaka revealed this in a statement availed to the media, shortly after the CC meeting held yesterday at the party’s headquarters in Dodoma and presided over by the Chairperson, President Samia Suluhu Hassan.
According to him, the nomination is in accordance with article 82(1) of the CCM constitution of 1977 the 2022 edition.
“Election of leaders of the wings at national level will be conducted from November 24 to 29, this year…we remind all candidates to adhere to CCM election guidelines and principles by indulging into clean politics and values of the party at all times,” said Mr Shaka.
He identified names of candidates for the positions of chairperson and deputy chairperson of CCM wings at the national level, including the post of chairperson for the Youth Wing (UVCCM) to be composed of Farid Mohamed Haji, Kassim Haji Kassu, Mohamed Ali Mohamed and Abdallah Ibrahim Natepe.
Candidates for the post of UVCCM deputy chairperson include Khadija Ismail, Dorice Mgetta, Victoria Mwanziva and Rehema Omary.
Candidates for the chairperson of CCM Women’s Wing (UWT) are Gaudentia Kabaka, Kate Kamba, Dr Wemael Chamshama, Mariam Lulida and Mary Chatanda.
For deputy chairperson of UWT position the names of candidates are Latifa Ahmed, Thuwaybah Kissasi, Hafsa Khamis and Zainab Shomari.
On the case of CCM Parents’ Wing chairperson candidates are Dr Edmund Mndolwa, Fadhili Maganya, Bakari Kalembo, Said Mohamed, Mwanamanga Mwaduga, Ally Othman, Ali Masudi and Hassan Zahara.
And, the deputy chairperson of the Parents’ Wing candidates comprises of Haidar Abdalla, Dr Wemael Chamshana, Fatma Haji, Rachel Kabunda, Neema Mturo, Zahoro Mohamed and Dogo Mabrouk.
Expounding further, Mr Shaka indicated that the list of names of candidates for the various wings at the regional level will be sent in the respective regions.
