CCM: It will be fair election

DODOMA: Chama cha Mapinduzi (CCM) Secretary-General and Vice Presidential candidate for the 2025 General Election, Dr. Emanuel Nchimbi, has reaffirmed the party’s commitment to conducting a fair and ethical election process.

At CCM’s 48th-anniversary celebrations in Dodoma, Dr. Nchimbi emphasized the theme, “Participate in the election with integrity and let the work continue,” highlighting the party’s commitment to servant leadership.

“At the CCM’s Special General Meeting, the party emphasised on conducting elections with integrity. We urge all CCM members to understand that the Central Committee is determined, fully committed to serving the people,” Dr. Nchimbi said during his opening remarks.

The national celebrations, which typically occur every five years, were held this year ahead of schedule.

Dr. Nchimbi explained that the decision was made after receiving requests from various regions highlighting the importance of the current year and the significant work achieved by the government.

“While the celebrations were originally set for 2027, the Central Committee approved holding them this year in light of the extraordinary work done by the government and the importance of this year’s achievements,” Dr. Nchimbi said.

The celebrations, which began on January 28 with regional and district events, culminate today in Dodoma.

He also congratulated President Samia for receiving the prestigious Goalkeepers Award, calling it a great honor for the government, the country, and the party.

“This award showcases how our party and government prioritize the well-being, livelihoods, and development of our people,” Dr. Nchimbi remarked.

He added that the enthusiasm of CCM members to participate in the anniversary celebrations is a direct result of the government’s major accomplishments and the significant impact of its policies.
