CCM election manifesto set for launch in Dodoma

DAR ES SALAAM: THE ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) is set to officially unveil its 2025–2030 election manifesto during a special twoday General Meeting scheduled to take place on May 29 and 30 in Dodoma.

The launch of the manifesto is one of three key agenda items of the General Assembly, which will bring together party delegates from across the country.

CCM Secretary for Ideology, Publicity and Training Mr Amos Makalla told reporters yesterday at the party’s offices, Lumumba in Dar es Salaam.

“CCM will convene a General Meeting on the 29th and 30th of this month. One of the primary purposes of this congress is to receive and officially launch the party’s 2025–2030 election manifesto. As we head to the upcoming elections, this document will serve as the foundation of our campaign and vision,” said Mr Makalla.

“As political parties prepare for elections, the manifesto plays a central role in outlining promises, engaging citizens and persuading voters. It is essential that all CCM candidates whether for council, parliament and the presidency fully understand the manifesto,” he said.

Mr Makalla said that the new manifesto was developed through broad stakeholder engagement and is designed to respond to the aspirations and challenges of Tanzanians.

“This is a people-centred manifesto. It reflects the hopes of Tanzanians and has been crafted following a thorough evaluation of the current 2020– 2025 manifesto. We’ve assessed what has been achieved and incorporated remaining challenges into the new plan,” he said.

He said the General Assembly will also receive a comprehensive report on the implementation of the party’s 2020–2025 manifesto from both governments.

He said the General Meeting will also consider minor amendments to the CCM constitution.

He said preparatory meetings will precede the General Assembly, including meetings of the Central Committee on May 26 and the National Executive Committee on May 28, both to be held in Dodoma
