CCM, CPC for stronger friendship

PWANI: THE ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) strong relations with the China Communist Party (CPC) will continue to be treasured for the benefit of both countries, the Deputy Secretary General, Anamringi Macha has said.

He made the remarks on Tuesday after welcoming, the Secretary General of China Council for Brics Think Tank Corporation (CCBTC), Professor Jin Xin, who is also the Director General of the Research Office of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee at the Mwalimu Julius Nyerere Leadership College in Kibaha Town, Coast Region.

The delegation was on a two-day visit to the country as part of the preparations for the Forum on China Africa Corporation (FOCAC) meeting to be held this year.

“Party-to-party relations which have been in place for several decades between CCM and CPC has helped the two countries to achieve a lot in various aspects”, he said.

For his part, Prof Jin pointed out that CPC would continue to work with CCM and the Tanzanian government in bringing about development to the people.

In addition to that, he said the party would continue to support Mwalimu Julius Nyerere Leadership College which serves six countries including Namibia, Tanzania, Mozambique, South Africa, Angola and Zimbabwe.

“The school carries big responsibility for teaching cadres from the Southern part of this continent. By continuing to support this college, we are also helping people in the six countries who are also beneficiaries of the college as well,” he said.

He added that China has a lot of experience and knowledge in different areas including technology and has always been ready to share with other countries.

Speaking on China – Africa Cooperation in South-South Cooperation which brought together lecturers from different Universities in the country and the Chinese delegation, the College’s Principal Prof Marcellina Chijoriga said the seminar aimed at giving opportunities for academicians to express their views which will be used in improving relationship between the two countries.
