Career transferability to herald Graduate Masterclass training in Dar

DAR ES SALAAM: CAREER transferability will be among the main topics to be discussed during the upcoming Graduate Masterclass training slated on Saturday, August 23rd, in Dar es Salaam.

The event aims at sharing critical ideas with fresh graduates as well as aspiring young entrepreneurs on which way to go in order to strike gold.

Briefing the Daily News Digital today, August 19, 2025, in the city, Wema Volunteers Organization Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr Issa Baruti, said the attendees will be exposed to life-changing skills.

“For example, in career transferability, a graduate of engineering who is yet to secure employment will be equipped with ideas on how to turn that skill and become a competitive mathematics teacher.

“Or how a graduate of medical-related studies who is still struggling to find employment in hospitals can successfully dive into becoming a malnutrition expert,” he says.

He added that most graduates, upon finishing their studies, find it difficult to turn their skills into a business, which can greatly help to transform their precious lives.

“Others are good at writing, and by attending the graduate masterclass, they will be provided with applicable ways on how to profitably benefit from their writing abilities,” he says.

Quizzed on the possible outcome of the training, he replies that they intend to transform the mindset of people and make them believe that they can succeed only if they try.

“I think the problem we have among many graduates is that most of them lack the trial mindset; they are very talented, but thinking outside the box is a major setback, and by attending this training, they will be empowered on that,” says Mr Baruti.

He then names Twaha Hussein as among the facilitators who will present Career transferability, turning experience into a new opportunity, while Nassor Morsady will talk about Turning your skill into business.

On the other hand, Abdallah Ndele will speak on How to get business ideas and start a Startup.

“Come, learn, explore, and connect with experts who can share insights, strategies, and opportunities to help you take the next step in your career,” he concludes.
