Call for Tanzanians to shun divisive politics heading to the General Elections
DAR ES SALAAM: TANZANIANS have been urged to avoid engaging in inflammatory or divisive politics as the country prepares for the October General Elections.
The call aims to promote unity and safeguard the peace and stability that the nation has long enjoyed.
This important message was delivered today, May 24, 2025, in Dar es Salaam by a patriotic youth, Jimmy Mafufu, during a public address, emphasizing that maintaining national peace is not just the duty of the government or security agencies, but a shared responsibility among all citizens.

“Protecting the country is the responsibility of all Tanzanians, and that includes steering clear of divisive politics,” said Mafufu. “We must remain united, respect each other’s views, and uphold the democratic principles that define our nation.”
He also reminded fellow youth to play a positive role during this election season by promoting tolerance, engaging in constructive dialogue, and rejecting any form of incitement or hate speech.
As the election draws closer, Mafufu’s remarks serve as a timely reminder of the power of unity and the importance of preserving the peace that many have worked hard to build.
