Young Africans are too close to play in the finals of CAF Confederation Cup (CAFCC) after defeating Marumo Gallants 2-0.
The first leg match at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam on Wednesday afternoon has given Yanga an advantage ahead of the reverse leg duel.
Second half goals from Stephanie Aziz Ki and a stoppage time strike by substitute Bernard Morrison have gifted the hosts a deserved lead.
For Aziz Ki, the strike was his last during the match as he was withdrawn afterwards to pave way for Morrison.
With the victory, the country’s envoys have bagged 20m/- from President Samia Suluhu Hassan who buys each semifinal goal in the contest for 10m/-.
However, the two sides meet again in South Africa on Wednesday for another tense decisive semifinal match.
The overall winner automatically steps into the finals and both teams are eyeing to make their debut in the confederation cup finishing line.
