CAF hears appeal lodged by Tanzania’s national team coach

TANZANIA: The Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) is today set to hear the appeal lodged by Taifa Stars coach Adel Amrouche.
Amrouche was slapped with eight-match suspension by CAF for allegedly accusing Morocco of interfering with decisions made by the continent’s football governing body.
The suspension came following Taifa Stars 3-0 defeat to Morocco in their first 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals held recently in Ivory Coast.
However, the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) Secretary General Kidao Wilfred on Tuesday reveals that his appeal will be heard today.
“After that, the federation’s Administrative Committee which employed the coach will make its final decision,” he says.
He continues: “The Administrative Committee could not make any decision until when CAF provide hears his appeal that is what we are waiting for.”
