SOUTH AFRICA: CAF Champions League (CAF CL) envoys Simba and Young Africans have been paired in group B and D of the last 16 respectively.
In group B, Simba will face Wydad Athletic Club (Morocco), ASEC Mimosas (Côte D’Ivoire) and Jwaneng Galaxy (Botswana).
In group D, Yanga will battle against holders Al Ahly (Egypt), CR Belouizdad (Algeria) and Madeama (Ghana).
The CAF draw was held in Johannesburg on Friday afternoon.
If the country’s two representatives do well in the group stage, it will be a gateway to slide into the quarterfinals.
It is the first time for Simba and Yanga to play simultaneously in the group stage of the champions league.
Group A consist of Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa), Pyramid FC (Egypt), TP Mazembe (DR Congo) and FC Nouadhibou (Mauritania).
Group C has got Esperance de Tunis (Tunisia), Petro Atletico (Angola), Al Hilal (Sudan) and Etoile du Sahel (Tunisia).
