Buzurugwa records success in health, education

BUZURUGA Ward   in Ilemela District Municipal Council is celebrating two years of President Samia Suluhu Hassan’s leadership with success attained in improvement of education and health sector.

The achievements have been recorded after the sixth phase government dished out over 2bn/- for improvement of infrstructures in the two sectors.

The Municipal Deputy Mayor, MrManusuraLusigaliye, said during the launch of Buzuruga North Street local government office that the funds were spent in the construction of Buzuruga Secondary School, the only one in the area.

The monies also were used in the construction of a mother and child ward at Buzuruga Health Center.

“Both projects have been completed and the infrastructures have already started to be used…our students used to travel long distance in search of secondary education in neighboring wards,” he said, adding that:

DrSamia has demonstrated good leadership as Buzuruga Ward is expected to construct more local government offices in the remaining three administrative streets.

He assured that the offices, whose costs are part of the 2bn/-will start to be used this year.

“We expect these offices  to be completed in December this year as we are aware that our citizens are in need of quality leadership services, which is a  priority of the ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi,” he said.

Commenting on the newly launched local government office, the Buzuruga Ward Executive Officer (WEO), Mr Ally Raymond, said that the construction started in March last year and was completed last month.

The residents, including Ms Joyce Mtondi, expressed her gratitude to DrSamia and all projects’ supervisors in the Ward, saying that almost all basic social services were currently available in Buzuruga.

She said the government has done a lot in their area not only the project in health and education but also allocating special areas for petty traders.

“We are now comfortable in areas where were conducting our business,” she said.
