Boat tragedy claims 2 lives

TWO people tragically lost their lives when a canoe capsized on Lake Victoria near Burere Village.

The group was returning from Busanga Village after seeking traditional medical treatment.

The Acting Regional Commander of the Fire and Rescue Force Agostino Magere confirmed the recovery of the victims’ bodies the following day.

This incident follows another canoe capsizing in the same lake in Igundu Village, Bunda District two weeks earlier, which claimed six lives.
