Additionally, she said that the 2026 theme, “Justice and Equality for Women and Girls: Inclusive Foundation Towards Vision 2050,” focuses on rights, justice, and action for women and girls, aligning with Vision 2050’s pillars on inclusive development and economic empowerment.
She further stated that the celebrations will actively involve women, men, youth, persons with disabilities, development stakeholders, and leaders from government, political, religious, and civil society sectors.
“It should be noted that Tanzania’s National Vision 2050 recognizes the importance of women and girls accessing their rights as part of society. It ensures that women entrepreneurs are economically empowered and prioritized, as outlined in the first pillar of the Inclusive and Competitive Economy, section 4.1.3 on diversified and innovative sources of revenue,” she stated.
