“We understand the importance of this match. Singida is a strong team with quality players, but I trust in my squad’s abilities. Our goal is clear: victory,” said Taoussi.

Singida’s interim coach, Ramadhani Nsanzurwimo, also recognised the tough challenge posed by Azam but stressed his team’s preparedness.

“Azam are one of the top teams in Tanzania and we know it will be a difficult match. They have a solid, experienced squad, but we have worked hard and are determined to secure the crucial points,” Nsanzurwimo stated.

Singida has faced internal challenges recently with the suspension of head coach Patrick Aussems and assistant coach Denis Kitambi.

However, Nsanzurwimo reassured that team morale remains high.

“Despite the off-field issues, the players are fully motivated. We are focused and ready to show our strength against Azam,” he said.

Right winger Ayubu Lyanga echoed the coach’s sentiment, revealing that the team is in peak physical, tactical and psychological condition.

“As players, we are fully prepared. We will give our all on the pitch and aim for the three points,” Lyanga stated. Both teams are currently level on 24 points, with Azam FC slightly ahead due to a superior goal difference. A win for either side could be crucial in their quest for higher standings in the league.
