Aviation safety workshop benefits 72 Africans

DAR ES SALAAM: OVER 70 participants from various African countries attended a five-day workshop focused on strategies to enhance aviation safety, supply chain efficiency, and sustainability in the sector, with an emphasis on modern technology and international guidelines.

The workshop, held in Dar es Salaam from March 17 and concluding today, was organized in collaboration with relevant authorities, with Tanzania hosting this significant event.

Closing the workshop, the Director General of the Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority (TCAA), Salim Msangi, said the training was highly beneficial for all participants as it provided a platform to discuss challenges facing the aviation sector and explore joint solutions.

“During this workshop, participants have addressed various challenges affecting the aviation sector in their respective countries and institutions. They have examined the communication systems used in air transport and discussed ways to improve these systems collectively to strengthen the aviation sector across Africa,” said Msangi.

The workshop allowed aviation stakeholders to exchange experiences and knowledge, ensuring sustainable development and enhanced aviation safety across the continent.
