PWANI, Kisarawe: Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority (TCAA) is set to publish its report on the country’s emergency preparedness and response following a successful execution of a lookalike plane crash plot in the Coast Region’s Kisarawe District.
TCAA’s Director of Air Navigation Services, Flora Alphonce told reporters in Dar es Salaam, the lookalike plane crash in Kisarawe was a plot well planned to test emergency preparedness and response to both the general public and the responsible units.
This exercise involved various rescue agencies including the Tanzania People’s Defence Forces (TPDF), Fire and Rescue Force, Red Cross, Tanzania National Parks Authority (TANAPA), Tanzania Shipping Agencies Corporation (TASAC), the Police, and among other agencies.
“It was planned to test their responses in case of a plane crash in Tanzania,” she said, adding the authority will conduct assessment of the entire exercise before revealing its report.
