ASFC RESULTS: Yanga eliminate 10-man Geita

Young Africans have booked a space in the semifinals of Azam Sports Federation Cup (ASFC) after a 1-0 win over 10-man Geita Gold.

Substitute Fiston Mayele scored the only goal at Azam Complex in Dar es Salaam on Saturday night to pedal his side to the last four.

It was the last quarter-final match of the campaign and Yanga will face Singida Big Stars in the semi-final encounter.

In other last four match, Simba will face Azam in a thriller match whose winner slide to the finals.

Coincidentally, all the four qualified teams are the ones which currently occupies the top four package on the Premier League table.

Yanga are the first on the league ladder seconded by Simba while Singida Big Stars are third and Azam sit on fourth place.

According to the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF), the finals of ASFC will be staged at Mkwakwani Stadium in Tanga.
