ASFC: let music play in Yanga vs Singida

YOUNG Africans Assistant Coach Cedric Kaze said they are well prepared to face Singida Big Stars in Azam Sports Federation Cup (ASFC) semifinal match at Liti Stadium in Singida today.
The two teams interface to establish one team which progress to the finals of the contest to play Azam who already made it to the finishing line.
It is a third meeting for the duo in all competitions this season and in their past two premier league appearances, Yanga have succeeded to emerge winners in both instances.
This is therefore a chance for the Singida based club to resist the previous two defeats they have succumbed from the recently crowned league champions.
“We are well prepared for the match and our target is to reach in the finals so that we can retain the title for the second time in a row,” Kaze said.
He continued that all precautions have been taken into consideration to stamp success while conceding that it is set to be difficult.
“There has never been an easy match versus Singida Big Stars, we know that they are too ready for the showdown meaning that the best team will carry the day,” he said.
On his part, Hans Van Pluijm for Singida Big Stars reiterated that they have had good drills ahead of the encounter hence everything is in place for them.
“Of course, it is a tough match as we are taking on one of the difficult teams in the country and this is set to be a tense match,” Pluijm said.
He further pointed out that this is the best opportunity for them to keep their target of completing the campaign with a trophy alive.
Today’s winner will play Azam who were the first side to advance into the federation cup finals after defeating Simba 2-1 at Nangwanda Sijaona Stadium in Mtwara to revamp their hopes of ending the season with silverware.
Lusajo Mwaikenda drove Azam ahead in the 22nd minute before Simba responded back courtesy of Sadio Kanoute who levelled the deficit in the 28th minute.
However, Prince Dube sealed the deal as his second half goal was enough to navigate the Ice Cream makers team to the last phase of the contest.
After missing out a chance to claim the season’s Premier League title, Azam are now banking on the ASFC trophy so that they can decorate their cupboard and finish the season on top gear.
With the nature of investment Azam have pumped in their team, they surely deserve to be battling for championship and reaching in the finals is a step forward for them.
