Arusha Gymkhana launches monthly golf tourney

ARUSHA: A MONTHLY golf tournament was introduced this weekend by Arusha Gymkhana that expects to attract not only golfers but also businessmen, decisionmakers and other further stakeholders interested with networking and practice golf.

The golf tournament received support from Airtel Tanzania with aims to foster connections among business leaders and influencers in the country.

The inaugural event saw 60 participants showcasing competitive golfing but also create a vibrant networking.

Arusha Gymkhana -Golf Section captain, Sheetal Aggarwal, noted, “This collaboration goes beyond the sport of golf it provides an invaluable platform for camaraderie among our members and the broader business community.

“We are excited about the future of this tournament and the positive impact it will have on both our members and the sport itself.

Together with Airtel, we are setting a new standard for corporate engagement through sports,” he said.

Airtel Tanzania’s Director of Business Enterprise, Joseph Muhere noted purpose of such event is to promote better lifestyles that include health benefits and strengthening relationships within the business community.

This collaboration marks an exciting new chapter for both organizations, blending sport with opportunity in a unique and engaging setting.

“At Airtel, we see sports as a powerful medium that brings people together, sparks dialogue and drives collaboration,” he began, his voice steady and inspiring.

With over 300 members eagerly gathered, anticipation filled the air, mingling with the crisp scent of freshcut grass.

As the morning unfolded, Muhere stood before a crowd of more than 60 business leaders and influencers.

His words resonated with the attendees, echoing their hopes for a vibrant connection between sport and enterprise.

The tournament kicked off with a shotgun start, the sound of clinking clubs and cheerful banter setting the tone for a day filled with competition and camaraderie.
