Arusha Court frees 24 linked to killing of Police Officer
The Arusha Resident Magistrate’s Court, Tuesday, free all 24 people charged with the murder of police officer Ganus Mwita.
The officer was killed at Orlolosokwani village in Loliondo, Ngorongoro on June 10, this year.
He was shot by a group of people during the demarcation of Loliondo Game Reserve in Arusha Region.
The people were set free after the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) decided to drop charges against them.
Hearing of the criminal case number 11.2022 began June 16, 2022 with 27 suspects. Three people were released leaving 24 whose fate has been decided today.
Among people involved in the case were the Chairman of CCM in Ngorongoro District, Nderango Laizer and 10 councillors from the district.
