Amb Polepole transferred to Cuba

PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan has made changes on the work stations of two ambassadors and appointed Mr Iddi Seif Bakari as Tanzania’s Ambassador to Turkey.

A statement issued on Monday by the Directorate of Presidential Communications, stated that Mr Bakari previously served as Tanzania Consulate General in Dubai.

President Samia has allocated Ambassador Humphrey Polepole to represent Tanzania in Cuba.

“Prior to the transfer, Ambassador Polepole was the Tanzania High Commissioner to neighbouring Malawi,” reads the statement.

On the other hand, Ambassador retired Lieutenant General Yacoub Mohamed has been assigned to serve the country in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The statement noted that before Ambassador Mohamed was moved to the UAE, he represented Tanzania in Turkey.

The Director of Presidential Communications Zuhura Yunus noted in the statement that the date for swearing in the newly appointed Ambassador will be communicated later.
