Amani MP passes away

Amani Member of Parliament Mussa Hassan Mussa has died aged 63, the Speaker of the National Assembly, Dr Tulia Ackson announced on Thursday.

The cause of his death has not been disclosed.

In her condolence message, the Speaker said: “I am shocked and saddened by the news of the death of Mussa Hassan Mussa. I offer my condolences to the family of the deceased, relatives and friends, Honorable Members of Parliament and Amani constituency people.

“May the Almighty grant them patience and perseverance in the face of adversity.”

The Parliament office is cooperating with the family on funeral arrangements, the statement said.
