DAR ES SALAAM: ALL is set for the Azam Sports Federation Cup (ASFC) that is to commence with the defending champions, Young Africans meeting Njombebased Haulung FC while Simba will play against Tembo of Tabora.
Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) Competitions Manager, Baraka Kizuguto revealed the ASFC fixture on Wednesday in Dar es Salaam during the 64-team draw.
The teams include Mainland Premier League teams, Championship League teams, First League and Regional League teams. Kizuguto highlighted that the second round of the competition will be staged from 15th to 17th December.
After the ASFC draw had been completed, Kizuguto called upon the teams to make sure they are well prepared, because Tanzania football fans are waiting for an extraordinary competition.
“The fixture is out and we expect an interesting competition. I call on all teams to prepare. The groundwork includes making sure their facilities are in good shape, including the stadia,” he said.
According to the fixture, last season’s finalist, Azam will meet Mwanzabased side Alliance FC at the Azam Complex in Dar es Salaam. Other fixtures include Singida Big Stars that will host Arusha City, while Dodoma Jiji will play against Magereza FC.
Ihefu will welcome Rospa FC from Mtwara and JKT Tanzania will face Kuregenzi FC from Simiyu. Namungo will play against Songwe-based Hollywood FC, Coastal Union will face Greenland FC from Kagera, while Mashujaa from Kigoma will play against Mbuga FC from Mtwara.
Geita Gold FC from Geita will face Singida Cluster, while Morogoro based Mtibwa Sugar will play against Nyakagwe FC from Geita.
Besides, KMC FC from Dar es Salaam will play against ACA Eagle, Kagera Sugar will face Dar City and Tabora United will play against Monduli Coffee. Tanzania Prison from Mbeya will welcome TRA Kilimanjaro.
Mbuni FC will play against Bus Stand from Dodoma, and Biashara United will play against THB FC. Kengold FC will play against Gunners FC, Pan Africans will host Nyamongo FC, Pamba FC will face Eagle FC from Dar es Salaam, while FGA Talents from Morogoro will play against Buhaya FC from Kagera.
Transit Camp will play against Kigoma based Airport FC, Green warriors will welcome Kilimo FC from Singida, while Polisi Tanzania will play against Pwani based Mbuni FC.
Mbeya Kwanza will face Bunda Kids from Mara. Mbeya City will play against African Lyon, Copco FC will face Mabao FC from Shinyanga and Ruvu Shooting will host Mkwajuni FC from Songwe. Cosmopolitan will play against Rhino Rangers, while Stand United will face Tanesco FC from Kilimanjaro and TMA FC will play against Sharp Lion from Lindi.
