ALAF’s first step into the Kilimanjaro International Marathon: A new chapter of partnership and inspiration

DAR ES SALAAM: As ALAF Limited embarks on its debut year as sponsors of the Kilimanjaro International Marathon 2026, the roofing and building solutions company is proud to join one of the most celebrated sporting events in East Africa.
According to the ALAF Rehema Amry, HRBP – Employee Engagement and Wellness Program Coordinator, the marathon has grown into a symbol of endurance, unity, and national pride—qualities that strongly resonate with our brand values and community vision.
She further notes that entering this partnership was inspired by the marathon’s reputation for bringing together thousands of participants from Tanzania and around the world.
“Its positive social impact, community engagement, and ability to foster national spirit made it a natural platform for us to support and be part of. We saw in it an opportunity to align our brand with an event that champions resilience, excellence, and togetherness,” she says.
Since says that since this is their first year participating, they are approaching it with exciting plans designed to create lasting impressions and mainly focusing on brand visibility, customer engagement, and community connection—delivered through interactive activities, giveaways, and a vibrant Kili Expo booth.

“Although this is our second Kili Expo experience, we recognize its significant value. The three-day event offers an exceptional opportunity to interact directly with runners, supporters, and partners. It enables us to showcase our products, educate customers, and strengthen our presence leading up to race day,” she explains.
She confirms that In the spirit of promoting health and wellbeing, they are proudly sending 50 participants to this year’s marathon.
“Their preparation is guided by a structured routine combining aerobics, jogging, and weekly fitness challenges,” says Rehema.

During the 2026 edition, the coordinator says they aim to amplify awareness of their key products and services—focusing on reliability, value, and innovation.
“This platform allows us not only to promote what we offer but also to reinforce our commitment to empowering customers and supporting community growth,” she confirms.
She also notes that joining the Kilimanjaro International Marathon for the first time is an important milestone for them and that their involvement reflects their dedication to community support and fostering a culture of health and active living. “We eagerly anticipate a memorable and impactful 2026 marathon .edition,” she says.
This year’s sponsors include Main Sponsor – Kilimanjaro Premium Lager in the 42.2 kilometers category, while YAS is the official sponsor of the Half Marathon (21 km), and CRDB Bank sponsors the 5 km Fun Run.
Official Supporting Sponsors – Kilimanjaro Water and TPC Sugar, while Official Partners are – GardaWorld Security, Toyota Tanzania, Columbia Sportswear, Simba Cement, and ALAF Limited.
Official race suppliers are Salinero Hotel, Kibo Palace Hotel Arusha, and Keys Hotel Moshi.
The event is organized by Kilimanjaro Marathon Company Limited every year in Moshi while Wild Frontiers Events are responsible for all the inbound travel and international marketing of the event.
