KILIMANJARO: ALAF Limited has pledged to continue supporting its staff in terms of physical and mental health to ensure they are more efficient at work.
This was said by the ALAF Human Resource Manager Jumbe Onjero soon after the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Energy, Dr Doto Biteko visited the company’s pavilion at the just ended Kilimanjaro Premium Lager International Marathon People’s Expo at the Moshi Cooperative University (MoCU) Stadium in Moshi Town.
He said they sponsored more than 50 participants to the marathon and to them it was a good and memorable experience as they took part in the Kilimanjaro Premium Lager 42Km Full Marathon, YAS 21 Km Kili Half Marathon and CRDB 5Km Fun Run.
“We will continue supporting such initiatives to ensure our employees get time to do physical exercises and we plan to participate in the Kilimanjaro International Marathon in a much bigger way,” he added.
He said ALAF recently launched its own jogging club comprising different employees hence they will continue training for the next Kilimanjaro Premium Lager International Marathon.
Regarding the People’s Expo, he said this was the first time that ALAF participated in the event that brings together more than 20,000 people at once.
“This is one of the biggest events in Tanzania and as a building solutions company, we got the chance to interact directly with our customers and get to answer their questions,” he said.
He further noted that it was a good opportunity to inform the customers that ALAF has already started production of coloured iron sheets through its new colour line plant since late last year and will soon launch the plant officially.
